Project: Giroux Glass, Downtown Los Angeles

Giroux Glass, one of the leading glass companies in the U.S., is working with Sunistics to install a solar power system on the roof of its downtown Los Angeles headquarters.

The decision to go solar is another move by the owner to inspire community spirit and leadership. As an 87-year-old, Anne Merelie Murrell is an unlikely early adopter of solar technology, but it's a project very much consistent with her visionary leadership that has made Giroux a leading light in the glass industry, and has inspired the community near USC.

She could be forgiven for taking some time to herself but that's never been her style. In fact, she is on her way to making Giroux Glass fully owned by the staff by 2020. It's easy to see why a 25-year solar installation makes sense for Giroux and everyone involved.

At Sunistics, we're delighted to be working with Giroux Glass, a company that has been such an important figure in its community for so many years. And long may it continue.

We'll post pictures and more information when the project is complete.
